As far as my knowledge goes, this is not a painting by Caravaggio. Its true that Caravaggio painted three paintings between 1599-1610 that bear the name of David with the head of Goliath;however, there is a famous debate over whether Caravaggio depicted himself all three times as Goliath. The final of which, painted in 1610 was created as a plea for his murder to be forgiven. I do not believe this was painted by him because it seems to depart from the style he made by his three other paintings. Why would he choose to paint David as so much younger than he did in his three other paintings on the same topic? I would like to see a date attached to this painting. Otherwise, you are lying to the public and charging them far too much for a painting that bears the same name, but not the same painter
